Midi skirt with box pleats
I made this skirt a while back, but have just re-discovered it (read: It finally fits again). And just in time too, be cause now is the perfect weather to rock a wool skirt.
The skirt was pretty straightforward to put together, and the thick wool fabric was easy to work with. I added full lining to the skirt to prevent the wool to stick to my stockings. Let’s face it; if it’s cold enough to wear wool skirt, it’s cold enough to wear stockings.
I really like how the box pleats gives it a classic look, and the high waist together with the midi length of the skirt makes me feel all feminine and girly. That just never gets out of style.
My plan is to share my patterns with you guys. I’ll get around to digitalise it soon, and then it will be available for free download if you should feel like sew your own skirt. I hope you will! I really would love to make this in a leather look too. If the days only had more hours.
