Button up marble shirt
I’ve read somewhere that bloggers never have vacations since they’re constantly documenting their lives. Well, that doesn’t apply for this blogger, because I’ve pretty much forgotten all about the blog ever since I got on the plane to Lisbon a couple of days ago.
Buuut I did bring a couple of my home sewn pieces with me in my suitcase, and it would be a shame if I didn’t take advantage of the beautiful weather to shoot some pictures. Also the hotel we’re staying at – Memmo Alfama – is the perfect location for a little photo shoot. Actually; it’s the perfect location for just about anything, so let me play the part as trip advisor for just one minute and recommend this design hotel for anyone planning a trip to Lisbon. It’s absolutely beautiful!
Back to the shirt. I just can’t get enough button up shirts, and I already have a closet full of them. When I came across this marble pattern fabric from Stoff og stil I knew I was about to get a new one in my collection. I’ve surrounded myself with marble in the interior for quite some time now, so there’s no reason why my wardrobe shouldn’t be marbleised as well.
Note to self
Remember to test the collar on a muslin before cutting the fabric. Then I can prevent it from getting too big like this one.
